The shared standards that keep Qembara welcoming, safe and trustworthy.
Qembara brings people together through locally hosted Experiences. These Community Standards set the minimum conduct, trust, safety and service expectations for everyone who uses the Platform or participates in an Experience. They apply to public and private Platform content, messages, profiles, Listings, reviews, Bookings and conduct connected with an Experience before, during and after delivery.
These Standards complement the Guest Terms, Host Terms, Safety and Incident Policy, Privacy Policy, Payment Terms, Cancellation and Refund Policy, confirmed Listing and Booking Confirmation. Where an emergency or immediate danger exists, contact local emergency services first and follow the Safety and Incident Policy.
Qembara welcomes Guests and Hosts of all faiths, beliefs, nationalities and backgrounds. No person may discriminate unlawfully, harass, shame, exclude or provide an inferior service because of a protected or personal characteristic, including race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, sex, gender, disability, age, family status or another characteristic protected by applicable law.
Qembara expects Hosts and Experiences to be Muslim-friendly. This means anticipating commonly relevant Muslim needs, making specific and accurate disclosures, and avoiding preventable situations that conflict with the confirmed Experience. It does not mean every Experience is halal-certified, alcohol-free, gender-segregated or identical across markets. The Listing must state what is and is not provided so each Guest can make an informed choice.
A “Muslim-friendly” label is a description of disclosed features, not a religious ruling, guarantee, endorsement or certification by Qembara. Hosts remain responsible for the truth and legality of every claim. Qembara may request certificates, supplier information, ingredient records, photographs or other proportionate evidence; qualify or remove a label; pause a Listing; or require corrective action.
Content includes Listing text, profiles, messages, reviews, photographs, audio, video and AI-generated or AI-edited material. It must not be illegal, fraudulent, hateful, sexually exploitative, threatening, privacy-invasive, misleading or designed to evade these Standards.
For immediate danger, serious injury, violence, fire, a missing person or another emergency in progress, move to safety and contact local emergency services first. After urgent needs are addressed, report the matter through Qembara’s urgent route. Non-emergency conduct, content, discrimination, review, fraud or Muslim-friendly claim concerns may be reported through the ordinary support route.
Reports should be made honestly and include the Booking or Listing, what happened, when and where, current risk and relevant records where safely and lawfully available. A report may be made without confronting the other party where confrontation would be unsafe or inappropriate. Knowingly false or manipulated reports may themselves breach these Standards; an unproven good-faith report does not.
Qembara assesses the available information, seriousness, immediacy, vulnerability, intent, impact, recurrence, cooperation, remediation and continuing risk. Depending on the circumstances, Qembara may educate, warn, remove content, require correction, cancel a Booking, restrict features, suspend or remove a Listing or account, withhold or adjust a payout only as permitted by the Payment and Host Terms, or refer a matter to an authority where required or lawfully appropriate.
Serious conduct may justify immediate action without a prior warning. Interim action is precautionary and does not by itself establish fault. Where lawful and safe, Qembara will give notice of the main issue, a reasonable opportunity to respond, the main basis for a final Platform decision and an available internal-review route. Qembara’s Platform decision does not finally determine criminal, regulatory or civil liability.
Qembara seeks consistent, proportionate enforcement without unlawful discrimination. It may consider credible conduct connected to the Platform even if part of it occurs offline, where there is a material link to user safety, trust or an Experience. Mandatory rights, authority reporting and access to lawful advice or support are not restricted.
Qembara Experiences Pte Ltd operates the Qembara Platform and provides marketplace, booking, payment-facilitation and support services. Except where a listing expressly identifies Qembara as the supplier, Qembara is not the host and is not a party to the experience contract.
